Pani Gold Mine Distributes Food Packages to Hulawa Residents during the 80th Brimob Anniversary

A total of 300 food packages were distributed by Pani Gold Mine to residents of Hulawa Village, Buntulia Subdistrict, Pohuwato, during a community outreach event. Held at Butato Field, the activity was organized together with the Gorontalo Police Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) as part of the 80th Brimob Anniversary commemoration. Each package contained rice and two liters of cooking oil, distributed to residents who had gathered at the location since early morning.

The assistance, delivered on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, was symbolically handed over by the Commander of the Gorontalo Police Mobile Brigade Unit, Police Commissioner Danu Waspodo, S.I.K.; the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare of Pohuwato Regency, Arman Mohammad, S.Pd., M.Si.; Pani Gold Mine CSR Manager Mahesha Lugiana; Buntulia Subdistrict Head Saiful Hunta; and representatives of the village government. The presence of these parties underscored the collaboration between security forces, local government, and the company in supporting surrounding communities.

“We extend our gratitude for the concern shown by the Brimob Corps and Pani Gold Mine toward the community,” said Arman Mohammad in his remarks. “This activity not only provides economic support but also strengthens ties between the community, security agencies, and the business sector.”

Police Commissioner Danu Waspodo emphasized Brimob’s involvement in the spirit of the corps’ anniversary. “Through this momentum, we reaffirm that Brimob stands ready to be at the forefront of public security services while fostering relationships with all elements of society to create a peaceful and safe Pohuwato,” he said.

Pani Gold Mine CSR Manager Mahesha Lugiana stated that the distribution of food packages is part of the company’s commitment to carrying out its social responsibility in the operational area. “We believe that collaboration between the government, security agencies, and the company will bring tangible benefits to nearby communities. Through activities like this, we aim to strengthen our relationship with residents and contribute to shared well-being,” he said.

Pani Gold Mine, operated by PT Merdeka Gold Resources Tbk (MGR), is currently completing construction of its processing facilities and targets first gold production in the first quarter of 2026. In addition to construction progress, MGR continues to implement Community Development and Empowerment (PPM) programs and various social initiatives.

Residents showed strong enthusiasm from early morning, with many arriving early to take part in the event. While waiting for the arrival of the Brimob Commander, the program featured performances by Brimob personnel and students from nearby SDN 04 Buntulia. “Alhamdulillah, we received rice and cooking oil. This is very helpful for residents in remote areas, especially in Hulawa Village,” said Halimah, a teacher at SDN 04 Buntulia. A similar community outreach activity had previously been held around the Brimob headquarters in Isimu, Gorontalo Regency.

Through this initiative, Pani Gold Mine hopes to further strengthen the spirit of solidarity, care, and community togetherness in Pohuwato, in line with the company’s commitment to contributing positively to the areas surrounding its operations.
